About your session…

Many people arrive feeling nervous or unsure because colon hydrotherapy isn't something they've experienced before, and it can feel intimidating and vulnerable. That's completely understandable!

My first priority is helping you feel informed, comfortable, and respected. Before we begin, we'll talk through the process, answer any questions you have, and make sure you feel ready. Throughout your session, you're always in control. My role is to guide and support you, never to rush or pressure you.

I approach each session with integrity, transparency, and deep respect for the trust my clients place in me. My goal is not simply to perform a service, but to create an environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, learning about your body, and making informed decisions about your care.

While every person's experience is different, many clients describe leaving with a greater sense of lightness, relaxation, and connection to their bodies.

Before and After

Before your appointment, I recommend focusing on hydration and nourishment and prioritizing easily digestible foods for your body. Everyone is unique, and even foods that are often considered healthy might not always be properly digested by everyone. Chewing well, being present with your meals, and trying to avoid packaged or heavily processed foods are great places to start.

Some food ideas to consider, based on your own tolerances, are broth-based soups, nourishing teas, steamed vegetables, fresh fruits and vegetables, quality proteins, nuts and seeds, healthy fats, beans/legumes, and cereal grains (amaranth, quinoa, etc.).

I strongly encourage trying to limit or avoid processed foods, cow's dairy, sugar, fried foods, heavy meals, and any other foods that you know to be challenging for your digestive system for 24–48 hours prior to your appointment.

Please refrain from consuming any alcohol or non-prescription medications/substances for at least 24 hours, preferably longer.

Our goal together is to support your body in releasing as much as possible and support your digestive health moving forward. Figuring out how to nourish ourselves is a part of the process that colon hydrotherapy can assist with.

Generally, colonics are well tolerated, and you can return to your normal daily activities after your session. However, if you are new to colon hydrotherapy, I suggest planning to rest after your appointment until you know how your body responds.

During the colonic, we are introducing water into the colon to soften and release waste from the body. Sometimes, our bodies will have a buildup of waste from constipation or incomplete bowel movements, amongst other things. While our goal during the session is to release as much as possible, a colonic can invite the body to begin a deeper process of releasing, which can occasionally result in people feeling more tired afterwards. Some people can experience what are commonly referred to as ‘detox’ symptoms, like headaches, nausea, diarrhea, and fatigue.
